BEHIND THE MIC
I've spent most of my adult life obsessed with audio. From never missing an episode of This American Life as a teen, to more than a decade as a radio journalist, I still always come back to audio as my preferred medium for storytelling.
Currently, I work as the Senior Producer and News Anchor for OPB’s All Things Considered and am the narrator of the Emmy-winning food series Superabundant. As a freelance journalist, I also produce the weekly radio program/podcast Literary Arts: The Archive Project and was tapped to create and host The Tasty Thread, a limited series pandemic podcast for Pacific Northwest grocer New Seasons Market.
Before joining OPB, I spent 6 years in commercial radio as on-air talent across multiple formats and stations in Portland, Oregon and Spokane, Washington.
I have a Broadcast Journalism degree from the University of Montana. While there, I earned a Society of Professional Journalists award for television feature reporting, a Hearst Journalism Award for broadcast news radio features, and I share a regional Emmy nomination for the documentary "Testing Times: Montana’s Struggle to Leave No Child Behind", which I was a segment producer and narrator for.
